Modernization of the U.S. Patent System

Recently, members of congress announced the formation of the Patent Reform Act of 2009. Reforming the patent system is a very necessary legislative exercise to ensure the protection of American innovation. To date we have not done quite enough to protect American innovation. The Franklin Foundation believes strongly in the need for modernization and supports organizations like the Business Software Alliance and members of congress in achieving this highly important goal.
