Developing solutions that provide access...

One of our main priorities, as a philanthropic organization, is to establish key public initiatives at the federal, state, and municipal levels to help grow, strengthen, and protect America's innovation base.

At the State and Municipal Level

We recognize the needs of America's children to have access to stronger science, mathematics, and technology education regardless of how much their parents earn or where they live. We believe that improvements in our educational systems start with the individual states, and that's why we focus our educational reform efforts at the state level; working with state and municipal legislators and educators to develop ideas into action.

Protecting innovation in all its forms

Protecting innovation isn't easy, but very necessary. Patents, copyrights and other forms of intellectual property protection for American inventions and innovations are key to maintaining a strong America.

Reforms regarding internet conduct and corporate responsibility are also of major issue for the Foundation. We believe that a more reliable and secure cyberspace fosters the type of innovation and collaboration that can solve tomorrow's biggest challenges. Issues regarding cyber-squatting, spam, and hijacking present major threats to innovation, and requires the attention of law making bodies to make enforcement efforts more successful.

Educating policy makers as to the importance of the sciences, advanced mathematics, and technologies is another large part of what we do from a legislative perspective. This education includes non-partisan seminars, presentations, and the production of realistic, targeted, and scientifically-sound studies and whitepapers that provide America's legislators with facts, not rhetoric.
