Reinventing the Business of Philanthropy

Our business objective at the Franklin Foundation is to be organizationally effective, fiscally efficient, and socially responsible. While most non-profit organizations view contributions as donations, we view them as investments in the future - establishing equity in a future made brighter by a stronger workforce.

Organizational Effectiveness

By maximizing the effectiveness of our organization, we maintain relatively low costs ensuring a greater portion of donor fund allocations to the critical programs, services, public initiatives, and research and development efforts that define our non-profit's mission. Donors, both corporate and individual, have the opportunity to examine funding levels and allocations on a quarterly-reported basis via our Donor Relations subsite.

Fiscal Efficiency

The Franklin Foundation maintains compliance both with regulatory requirements set by Federal and state government, as well as its own regulatory program, independently audited by its volunteer executive board of directors. Funding for programs is made via quarterly-planned allocation schedules. Funding for services and public-initiatives are budgeted annually, including scholarship and grant opportunities.

Social Responsibility

The work we do helps improve America's innovation base by improving the educational outcomes of America's children, establishing programs that provide access to opportunity, providing services that aid developing ideas, and encouraging research that influences discovery.

This section will give you a better idea of how you as an individual, or a business, can help our Foundation accomplish its goals through monetary support, donating your time and expertise, or sponsoring individual programs.
