Volunteer Leadership Opportunities

Regional Leaders for The Franklin Scholars Program

 

The Franklin Foundation's regional leaders for the Franklin Scholars Program provide coordination for regional groups of Franklin Scholars.

 

Franklin Scholars are professionals in the community who work with The Franklin Foundation to share their real-world expertise and professional insights with students and schools that participate in our "Franklin Experience" program.

 

Our regional leaders help coordinate the activities of Franklin Scholars to maximize their effectiveness in delivering the foundation's programs to subscriber schools. Regional leaders develop a rapport with their teams, help plan and coordinate appointments and match skill sets with demands for assistance from the community.

 

Regional leaders are needed in the following areas:

  • Southeastern PA - serving Philadelphia, Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, Bucks, Lehigh, Berks, Lancaster, Northampton, Lebanon and Dauphin counties.
  • Northeastern PA - serving Monroe, Carbon, Schuylkill, Pike, Montour, Sullivan, North Umberland, Columbia, Luzerne, Lackawanna, Wayne, Susquehanna, Bradford, and Wyoming counties.
  • Central PA - serving York, Adams, Cumberland, Perry, Juniata, Mifflin, Franklin, Huntingdon, Fulton, Centre, Clinton, Lycoming, Tioga, Potter, McKean, Elk, Cameron, and Clearfield counties.
  • Western PA - serving Somerset, Cambria, Jefferson, Forest, Warren, Armstrong, West Moreland, Fayette, Indiana, Allegheny, Washington, Greene, Beaver, Lawrence, Butler, Venago, Clarion, Crawford, and Mercer counties.
  • Western NJ - serving Mercer, Burlington, Camden, Hunterdon, and Warren counties.
  • Southern NJ - serving Atlantic, Gloucester, Salem, Cumberland, and Cape May counties.

 

Qualifications

  • Ability to organize, plan, and manage a diverse group of individuals, coordinating activities from a distance; working with people from multiple backgrounds and at various levels.
  • Leadership experience in an operational role.
  • A strong desire to see The Franklin Foundation accomplish its mission of improving America's innovation base through the advancement of the sciences, technology, and advanced mathematics.

 

This is a volunteer position, however, leaders represent The Franklin Foundation, and work directly with program directors to help the foundation ensure it's ability to execute programs that have a strong community impact. Field Leaders for The Franklin Foundation Volunteer Corps

 

The Franklin Foundation's field leaders for the Franklin Foundation Volunteer Corps program provide coordination for local volunteer groups and assist with volunteer acquisitions.

 

Members of The Franklin Foundation's Volunteer Corps work in many various capacities supporting the foundation's programs and initiatives. These people are the heart of our organization, delivering the foundation's mission to their local communities at-large.

 

The Franklin Foundation is looking for field leaders all over the United States to help with our national recruiting efforts.

 

Qualifications

  • Ability to organize, plan, and manage a diverse group of individuals, coordinating activities from a distance; working with people from multiple backgrounds and at various levels.
  • Leadership experience or experience in grassroots operations a plus.
  • A strong desire to see The Franklin Foundation accomplish its mission of improving America's innovation base through the advancement of the sciences, technology, and advanced mathematics.
