Status: Initial Volunteer to Full Time
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Salary: Commensurate w/ Experience
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer will manage The Franklin Foundation's financial strategy to ensure fiscal efficiency, stable growth, and organizational effectiveness in delivering programs that accomplish the foundation's mission.
As a member of the senior management team, this position will be involved in strategic planning, evaluation, and professional development initiatives, as well as planning for the foundation's expansion throughout the United States. The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the following:
Financial Management
- Review and approve preparation and finalization of monthly and annual financial reporting materials and metrics for The Franklin Foundation’s board of directors.
- Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow for administration, existing programs, and proposed expansions.
- Coordinate compliance activities.
- Coordinate all audit activities.
Administrative Leadership and Management
- Lead the organization’s financial, budgeting, and administrative processes—including HR, payroll, and benefits functions—with an eye to continuously developing and improving systems to maximize efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of an MBA or Master's level degree from an accredited college or university.
- Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting, ideally in the nonprofit sector, with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
- Experience should include legal, audit, compliance, budget, and resource development. Incumbent should have an understanding of IRS 501(c)(3) rules as well as SOX regulations.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing new ways of creating efficiencies, and guiding investment in people and systems.
- Proven effectiveness leading professionals in finance and accounting.
- Flexible and a self-starter; able to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented.

Reporting to the COO, the manager of technologies will manage The Franklin Foundation's key systems including our website, internal communications, and other critical infrastructure to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
The Manager of Technologies is responsible for the following:
Technology Management
- Manage the organization's technologies including desktops, servers, network infrastructure, and peripherals.
- Oversee support and maintenance contracts to ensure cost-effective implementation and operation of the foundation's technologies.
- Coordinate compliance activities.
- Coordinate all audit activities.
Administrative Leadership and Management
- Lead the organization’s financial, budgeting, and administrative processes—including HR, payroll, and benefits functions—with an eye to continuously developing and improving systems to maximize efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or 6 years experience in technology management with an emphasis on small business, government or non-profit organizations.
- Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of technology strategy, and telecommunications.
- An understanding of SOX regulations as well as VISA CISP and PCI DSS.
- Strong expertise in website management including server management and coding. Required technologies include HTML, JavaScript, Jquery, CSS, and AJAX.
- Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite including Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Photoshop a plus.

Status: Part Time to Full Time
Reports to: Chief Operations Officer
Salary: Commensurate w/ Experience
Reporting to the COO, the Executive Assistant will provide administrative and staff support to the general organizational operations. Expected to work independently, this position provides all necessary organizational support and is responsible for a variety of other tasks.
The Executive Assistant is responsible for the following:
Organizational Support
- Assist with the completion of filings for the organization
- Coordination of orders and incoming donations, including the processing of checks for payment, and preparing letters and correspondence to donors.
- Processing incoming bills and outgoing checks in concert with the finance and accounting staff.
- Provide assistance as needed with research for products and services and product development
- Greet and direct office visitors, answer main office telephone system, respond to direct requests for information and/or forward messages to appropriate staff. Make sure the office is kept in orderly and clean fashion.
- Assist with review of administrative procedures and development of systems to assure compliance by all staff.
- Staff liaison for ongoing tenant/landlord matters.
- Maintain inventory for office supplies and computer software.
- Assist with research and cost comparisons for vendors to maintain cost effectiveness and quality, including technology and computer support.
- Maintain master calendar of in-house meetings and events.
- General office duties such as typing, bookkeeping, flow of correspondence, filing, requisition of supplies, faxing, etc.
- Booking travel and hotel arrangements as needed.
- Coordinate materials for meetings and training sessions and other activities of the organization.
- Receive and distribute all incoming mailing and coordinates outgoing mail, including courier services, postage meter account, and interoffice mail distribution.
- Assist in preparation of materials for the board of directors.
- Lead person in providing support of mailings or coordinating bulk mailing processes.
- Provide meeting support as needed (e.g., scheduling conference rooms, coordinating food, logistics).
- Assist in the updating of the website.
- Provide administrative support to staff for copying, faxing and large-scale mailings.
- Maintenance of library and classification and filing of new items.
- Responding to staff requests for administrative support as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested with a sense of humor and team spirit.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years office administrative support experience is preferred.
- Some college preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills (oral and written) and the ability to excel at details, multi-tasking and working under pressure.
- Must have some experience and skilled in the use of software programs such as Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint.
